Are the 251 tune positions achieved with individual filters or mechanical tuning?
Tunability is achieved by switching capacitance on a resonant circuit, and is not designed as a switched filter bank or a mechanically tuned filter. While this complex approach does require a significant number of components, we achieve broad frequency coverage in a small package. Our approach also offers consistency and reliability due to the solid state design.

Are your filters varactor-tuned?
Although our Micro-Pole filters are varactor based, the primary technology utilized in our standard filter products and integrated cosite equipment is based on PIN Diode switching. PIN Diode switching supports higher power handling, faster switching speeds, etc.

Do you keep filters in stock?
Due to the large variety of configurations available, filters are typically built to order. We do maintain a large inventory of raw material and can expedite a small quantity of filters in some cases.

Do you manufacture fixed-tuned and/or Low-Pass or High-Pass filters?
We have matured our processes to support the design and manufacture of digitally tunable bandpass and notch filters. While we have delivered other filter designs in the past, our primary focus is the digitally tunable filter market.

How much RF power can the filters handle?
Our standard filter products can handle up to 20 watts in-band, depending on filter series. Contact us to discuss other solutions for higher power applications.

What filter topology do you use?
Our standard filter products are 2-pole structures aligned for a Butterworth response. Additional poles of filtering and/or cascades are available to address more stringent selectivity requirements.

What frequency range do the filters cover?
Pole/Zero designs and manufactures tunable filter products covering 1.5MHz to 2GHz in 10 discrete bands.
