Mitigating Self-Generated Communications Interference

Inadequate isolation between a transmitter and a receiver in a cosite environment results in the receiver’s diminished ability to process a weak desired signal- a condition termed “desensitization”.

DR™ Controller

DR™ Controller

Our Price:
$150.00 USD

Our DR™ Controller provides a simple, easy-to-connect interface that can be combined with our broad range of tunable RF filters for a complete turn-key filter system. The desired center frequency of a filter can be selected from the front panel or via an RS-232C interface (tuning software included).  The center frequency is conveniently displayed on a front panel digital readout, and can be incremented or decremented by the two front panel push buttons.

The DR™ Controller supplies DC power, including high bias, and an eight (8) bit tune word to an individual filter.  It can tune the filter to any of the 251 tune positions, and can control optional modes such as Bypass or Blanking if the filter is so equipped.

The DR™ Controller comes complete with a plug-in power source that operates from 120 Volts 60 Hertz AC.  It is capable of operating in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +58°C.

The DR™ Controller is delivered completely configured and ready to use.  In addition, Windows software is provided to reconfigure the unit for use with filters or preselectors having different frequency ranges or options.  The configuration information is stored in EEPROM memory.

The minimum system requirements for execution of the DR™ Series Host Software are 1 Meg free hard drive space, Windows 98 or higher, and VGA or better resolution.

The desired tune frequency of a filter can be remotely controlled, by connecting the DR™ Series unit to the host computer through the COM1 – COM8 serial port using the cable provided.  The DR™ Controller can be reconfigured for a different frequency range in order to individually control different filters.  The versatility of the DR™ Controller makes it an ideal component for any radio installation or laboratory test set up.
